Nicola Pecorini

Nicola Pecorini, an accomplished cinematographer, was born on August 10, 1957, in Milan, Lombardy, Italy. In 1988, he co-founded the Steadicam Operators Association, Inc. (SOA) alongside Garrett Brown, the innovative creator of the Steadicam. Pecorini relocated to the United States in 1993, where he has since made significant contributions to the film industry.

Notably, he has developed a strong professional partnership with the renowned director Terry Gilliam. Their collaborations include iconic films such as Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, The Brothers Grimm, Tideland, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, The Zero Theorem, and The Man Who Killed Don Quixote, showcasing Pecorini's distinct visual style and expertise.

In recognition of his artistic achievements, Pecorini received the Best Cinematography award at the San Sebastian International Film Festival in 2000 for his work on Harrison's Flowers.

In his personal life, he is married to British actress Caroline Goodall, and together they have two children, Gemma and Leone. Despite facing the challenge of being blind in one eye, Pecorini continues to leave a lasting impact on the world of cinematography through his innovative approach and creative vision.
