Richard Erwin Rood, famously known as "Ravishing" Rick Rude, was a prominent figure in American professional wrestling during the 1980s and 1990s. Competing for top promotions such as World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and WWE, Rude made a significant impact with his charismatic persona and impressive in-ring abilities. His illustrious career is highlighted by holding five world titles, including three reigns as the WCW International World Heavyweight Champion, as well as the WCWA World Heavyweight Championship and the NWA American Heavyweight Championship. Additionally, he claimed the WWE Intercontinental Championship and the WCW United States Championship.

Rude was known for his boastful persona, branding himself the "Sexiest Man Alive," and WWE has recognized his physique as the finest in the history of the sport. His skills on the microphone earned him a reputation as one of the greatest talkers in wrestling history. In 1997, Rude joined the ranks of D-Generation X, becoming one of its original members alongside notable wrestlers Shawn Michaels, Triple H, and Chyna.
