Michael Kilgarriff, born on June 16, 1937, in Brighton, is a distinguished British actor, author, and pianist, renowned for his commanding presence and deep, resonant voice. His impressive stature of six feet five inches (1.96 m) has often made him a perfect fit for larger-than-life roles in film and television. Among his notable performances, he is particularly recognized for his portrayal of the Cyber Controller in the iconic series Doctor Who, which he embodied in both 1967 and 1985.

Kilgarriff's contributions to Doctor Who extend beyond the Cyber Controller; he also played an Ogron in 1973 and took on the role of the K1 Robot in the story arc titled Robot (1974–75).
