Passi, whose full name is Passi Balende, is a renowned Franco-Congolese artist, recognized both as a rapper and a producer. He is celebrated as one of the pioneers of French rap, alongside notable figures such as NTM, IAM, and MC Solaar.

His rise to fame began with the group Ministère A.M.E.R., which he established with friends to create the soundtrack for the iconic film *La Haine*. This collaborative project paved the way for Passi's successful solo career, allowing him to showcase his unique style and lyrical prowess.

In addition to his musical accomplishments, Passi ventured into acting, making his television debut in the series *Inspecteur Sori : le mamba* directed by Mamady Sidibé.
