Glenn Klinton Spilsbury, born on March 4, 1951, is an American actor best remembered for his portrayal of the iconic character in the 1981 film, The Legend of the Lone Ranger. This film marked his most significant role in the entertainment industry.

Spilsbury's roots trace back to Mormon settlers in Mexico. He spent a significant portion of his upbringing in Arizona, where his father dedicated his career to football coaching, initially at the high school level and later at what is now known as Northern Arizona University. After his father concluded his tenure there, the family relocated back to Mexico, settling in Colonia Juárez.

In pursuit of an acting career, Spilsbury briefly attended Brigham Young University before making the move to Hollywood. Early in his career, he adopted the stage name Max Keller in 1979 and ventured to New York City. Here, he landed several minor roles in daytime soap operas, gradually making his way into the acting scene.
