R. Marcos Taylor
R. Marcos Taylor, born on September 16, 1976, is an accomplished American actor and stuntman, widely recognized for his dynamic portrayal of Suge Knight in the critically acclaimed film *Straight Outta Compton* (2015).
From a young age, Taylor aspired to embody the superhero Superman. When that dream proved unattainable, he turned to martial arts, beginning his journey with Karate at just five years old. His dedication led him to achieve a black belt and cultivate a passion for various disciplines, including Taekwondo, Muay Thai, Capoeira, and Hapkido. With over two decades of rigorous training, he holds the rank of Kru in Muay Thai and continues to expand his skill set with additional practices such as Kung Fu, Boxing, Judo, Ninjitsu, and Gracie Jiu-Jitsu.
Taylor has made a name for himself in the competitive martial arts scene, earning titles like NJ State Taekwondo Champion in 1994, YB Choi Taekwondo Invitational Champion in 1995, and Muay Thai Warriors Cup Super-Heavyweight Champion in 2010. Beyond competition, he has also served as a certified personal trainer, gym owner, professional fighter, and bodyguard, dedicating the past 24 years to teaching martial arts and self-defense both locally and internationally.
With more than 30 years immersed in martial arts, Marcos Taylor has discovered that while he may never don a cape, the journey of mastering and sharing the art form remains profoundly fulfilling.
