Ghita Nørby
Ghita Nørby, born in Copenhagen, Denmark, comes from a musical lineage as the daughter of renowned opera singer Einar Nørby. Her artistic journey began at the Danish Royal Theatre, where she honed her craft for two years. Throughout her illustrious career, Nørby has earned numerous accolades, including the prestigious Ingenio et Arti medal in 2006. She gained significant recognition at the 27th Guldbagge Awards, where she was nominated for Best Actress for her compelling performance in "Freud's Leaving Home."
Nørby's personal life has seen her marry multiple times. Her first marriage was in 1956 to architect Mogens Garth-Grüner, followed by a union with actor Henrik Wiehe. In 1962, while filming, she met Italian pop singer and actor Dario Campeotto, and they wed in 1963. The couple welcomed a son, Giacomo Campeotto, in 1964 before their divorce in 1969. In April 1970, she married actor Jørgen Reenberg, and she is currently united with pianist and composer Svend Skipper. Ghita Nørby’s contributions to the arts and her versatile roles in film and theatre have solidified her status as a distinguished figure in Scandinavian cinema.
