As a prominent athlete sponsored by Meow Skateboards, Torres made history by becoming the first woman to secure a gold medal at the X Games, achieving this milestone in 2003 when female skateboarding competitions were introduced. Torres continued to shine in subsequent years, earning a silver medal in the X Games Street Competition in 2004.
