Tera Patrick stepped away from performing in the adult film industry in 2008 but remains active in various business initiatives, including her website and production company. She licenses her extensive film catalog for international distribution.

She gained recognition in mainstream publications like Playboy and Penthouse, being named "Pet of the Month" in February 2000 and later becoming a runner-up for "Pet of the Year." In 2003, she took on the role of masthead publisher for Genesis magazine.

In 2006, Patrick and her then-spouse, Evan Seinfeld, established a talent agency dedicated to representing models and actors. Their agency aims to ensure that individuals in the industry are treated with dignity and encouraged to reach their full potential. Patrick also founded Teravision, her production company, which, in collaboration with Vivid Video, produced her first feature film, "Desperate," featuring both Patrick and Seinfeld. That same year, she was announced as the host of the Exxxotica Miami convention.

During November 2006, she was featured in "Tera Patrick's Fashion Underground," a Vivid/Teravision production where she starred alongside performers Jean Val Jean and Tommy Gunn. Her husband, operating under the pseudonym Spyder Jonez, also appeared in the film. In total, the couple collaborated on five films for Vivid and ten for Teravision.

In a February 2007 interview, Patrick indicated she would continue to appear on camera for two additional years but planned to release her adult titles over the following decade.

In April 2007, Patrick and her production company initiated legal action against Jenna Jameson and Playboy Enterprises for mismanagement of royalties related to her website, clubtera.com.

In 2008, she began hosting the Playboy TV show "School of Sex" and served as the host for the 25th AVN Awards. By January 2013, Patrick was also the host for the annual XBIZ Awards.
