Barry Hearn

Barry Hearn OBE, born on June 19, 1948, is a prominent English sports promoter renowned for his influential role in the sports industry as the founder and President of Matchroom Sport. His expansive career has seen him make significant contributions across a variety of sports, including snooker, darts, pool, tenpin bowling, golf, table tennis, and fishing. Under his leadership, Matchroom has become a key player in promoting numerous high-profile events.

Hearn's tenure as chairman of the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) marked a transformative period for the sport, elevating its profile and popularity. Additionally, he served as chairman of the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association (WPBSA) until July 2010, further solidifying his impact on cue sports.
