John Felix Anthony Cena, born on April 23, 1977, is a renowned American actor and professional wrestler. Since joining WWE in 2001, he has established himself as a legendary figure in wrestling, holding the title of a 17-time world champion—the most in WWE history. Cena is celebrated as one of the greatest wrestlers of all time.

Originally from Massachusetts, Cena relocated to California in 1998 to pursue a career in bodybuilding, but he transitioned to professional wrestling in 1999 with a debut in Ultimate Pro Wrestling (UPW). In 2001, he signed with WWE and began his journey in its developmental territory, Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW), where he won both the OVW Heavyweight Championship and the OVW Southern Tag Team Championship. Cena made a splash on WWE's main roster in 2002, initially portraying a brash, villainous rapper before evolving into a heroic character after capturing his first WWE Championship in 2005. He became the franchise player and public face of WWE from the mid-2000s to the mid-2010s, with his face run lasting from 2003 to 2025—the longest in WWE history.
