Theodore Edwin Gehring Jr. (April 6, 1929 – September 28, 2000) was a prominent American actor recognized for his versatile roles in both film and television. Born in Bisbee, Arizona, Gehring embarked on his acting journey in 1965 with a role in the popular western series, The Big Valley, where he portrayed Larsh.

Throughout his career, Gehring became a familiar face on television, making guest appearances in renowned shows such as Gunsmoke, Star Trek: The Original Series, M*A*S*H, and The Rockford Files. He is particularly remembered for his role as Charlie in the sitcom Alice, appearing in 16 episodes. Additionally, he played significant parts in beloved series like Little House on the Prairie, Emergency!, and Mission: Impossible.

In film, Gehring contributed to a number of projects, including The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Bound for Glory, and The Apple Dumpling Gang Rides Again. He also portrayed Sydney Forbes on the soap opera Days of Our Lives during the 1980s, showcasing his ability to engage audiences across different genres.

His later works included starring in The Family Holvak and the television film Leave Her to Heaven in 1988, after which he retired in 1989.
