Cécile Bois is a prominent French actress hailing from Lormont, Gironde. Her passion for performance ignited during her school years when she joined an amateur theater group. This initial experience led her to the Conservatoire de Bordeaux, although she soon transitioned to "Le théâtre en vrac" to further hone her craft. At the age of 19, Bois relocated to Paris, where she studied at l'École de la rue Blanche, during which she made a crucial connection with her future agent, Chafika.

Bois's career spans stage, film, and television. She gained recognition in the theater, particularly for her role as Angélique in Robert Hossein's 1995 adaptation of Anne Golon's novels, which showcased her talent in 130 performances at the Palais des Sports. Her film repertoire includes notable works such as *Dakan*, *Ça n'empêche pas les sentiments*, *Lucky Punch*, and *Le roi danse*. However, she is perhaps best known for her television roles. In 2007, she took on the lead in *Agathe contre Agathe* and later starred in the 2010 film *Le Désamour* alongside Bruno Wolkowitch and Florence Pernel. Since 2013, Bois has captivated audiences as the titular character in the popular France 2 series *Candice Renoir*. Most recently, she led the French adaptation of the British series *Keeping Faith*, titled *Gloria*, which premiered on February 17, 2022.

Outside of her professional life, Bois has been in a long-term relationship with fellow actor Jean-Pierre Michaël since 2018, and they share two daughters.
