Kevin Ferguson, widely recognized as Kimbo Slice, was a Bahamian-American athlete born on February 8, 1974. He gained notoriety through a series of street fights that circulated online, earning him the title of "The King of the Web Brawlers" from Rolling Stone magazine.

Transitioning from the underground fighting circuit, Slice signed with EliteXC in 2007, marking the beginning of his professional fighting career. His time with EliteXC was short-lived, as the organization declared bankruptcy in 2008, leaving Slice as a free agent. He later appeared on the reality TV series The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights, where he faced off against seasoned fighter Roy Nelson in his first matchup, ultimately suffering defeat to the eventual tournament champion.

Despite this setback, Slice made a notable entrance into the UFC by securing a victory over Houston Alexander in the finale of The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights. However, his subsequent bout at UFC 113 resulted in a loss to Matt Mitrione.

In addition to his fighting career, Kimbo Slice also dabbled in acting, appearing in various films and television shows. Slice's larger-than-life persona and fighting prowess left an indelible mark on both the mixed martial arts world and popular culture before his untimely passing on June 6, 2016.
