Raine Loo

Raine Loo (March 28, 1945 – May 16, 2020) was a celebrated Estonian actress known for her impactful contributions to the performing arts. Born in what was then Taevere Parish, now part of Põhja-Sakala Parish in Viljandi County, Loo's passion for the stage blossomed early. She completed her education at No. 8 School in Tartu, now recognized as the Tartu Forselius School, graduating in 1963.

Following her schooling, Loo pursued her dream of acting at the Vanemuine teaching studio, where she honed her skills and graduated in 1965. Throughout her career, she became a prominent figure in the Estonian theater scene, known for her versatility and dynamic performances.
