Angela Fontana began her artistic journey at the young age of fourteen, touring America alongside her twin sister, Marianna Fontana, performing in theaters across Chicago and Atlantic City. By sixteen, the sisters had secured scholarships to the prestigious "La Ribalta" film school in Naples, further honing their craft.

Angela gained notable recognition for her role as Viola in the 2016 film "Indivisible," directed by Edoardo De Angelis. Marianna played the character Daisy in the same film, which was showcased at the 73rd Venice International Film Festival during the "Days of Authors," as well as at the Toronto International Film Festival in the "Contemporary World Cinema" section and the BFI London Film Festival.

While pursuing her studies in Philosophy at the Federico II University, Angela also enrolled in the Naples Conservatory to enrich her artistic skills. Her career experienced significant growth in 2017, highlighted by her performance in the drama "Likemeback," directed by Leonardo Guerra Seràgnoli, which premiered at the Locarno Festival in August 2018. Angela portrayed the lead in Gigi Roccati's film "Lucania" and also featured in Marco Tullio Giordana's TV film "Soldiers," which aired in December 2018. In 2019, she took on the role of Cecilia Gallerani in "Io, Leonardo," directed by Jesus Garces Lambert, sharing the screen with Luca Argentero.
