Spike Edney
Philip "Spike" Edney is a distinguished English musician whose career has spanned several decades, beginning in the 1960s. He is perhaps best recognized for his long-standing role as a keyboardist and backing vocalist for the iconic rock band Queen, a position he assumed during their live performances starting in 1984. Before joining Queen, Edney showcased his versatility by playing multiple instruments, including keyboards, bass, guitar, and trombone, while touring and recording with notable acts such as The Tymes and soul legend Ben E. King in the mid-1970s.
