Megumi Okina

Megumi Okina, born on August 6, 1979, in Hiroshima and later raised in Tokyo, is a prominent Japanese actress and former J-Pop singer who gained fame in the 1990s. She made her musical debut on August 19, 1995, quickly establishing herself as a popular figure in the Japanese pop music scene. Okina is particularly recognized for her role in the Japanese adaptation of the horror film "The Grudge," which showcased her talent and helped her gain international attention.

In January 2004, she married Susumu Fujita, but their union was short-lived, ending in divorce on July 22, 2005. Despite announcing her retirement from the entertainment industry in 2007, Okina returned to the big screen with her role in the 2008 remake of the Thai horror film "Shutter," where she played the character of Megumi Tanaka, a ghostly figure that further emphasized her versatility as an actress.
