Daniel Lawrence Whitney, born on February 17, 1963, is widely recognized by his comedic persona, Larry the Cable Guy. He is an American stand-up comedian, actor, and former radio host.

Larry is a prominent member of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, a renowned comedy group that includes fellow comedians Bill Engvall, Ron White, and Jeff Foxworthy. This collaboration also led to the creation of the television series Blue Collar TV.

Throughout his career, Larry the Cable Guy has produced seven comedy albums, three of which have achieved gold status from the RIAA, indicating sales of over 500,000 copies. Additionally, he has appeared in three films related to the Blue Collar Comedy Tour and has starred in movies such as Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector, Delta Farce, and Witless Protection.
