Dimitri Diatchenko
Dimitri Diatchenko, born in San Francisco, began his artistic journey at Newton North High School in Massachusetts. He further honed his musical talents at Stetson University in DeLand, Florida, where he was a scholarship recipient majoring in classical guitar. After earning his Bachelor's degree, he pursued graduate studies in acting and music at Florida State University in Tallahassee.
Diatchenko’s acting career took off with his lead role as Dillard Nations, a country music star, in the play *Foxfire*, written by Hume Cronin. Between 1990 and 1996, he immersed himself in various Florida-based film projects while studying under notable instructors like Ken Stilson and George Judy. His work during this period included acclaimed short films such as *Third on a Match*, *Used Cars*, and *Goiter Boy*. In April 1996, just as he was graduating with his Master's degree, he secured a small role as a Navy Seal in Ridley Scott's *G.I. Jane*, which marked the beginning of his professional career in Los Angeles.
In addition to acting, Diatchenko is a skilled classical guitarist. He has released four solo guitar albums and contributed his original composition, "Tango en Paraiso," to the soundtrack of his film *Remarkable Power*, which is also included in Mel Bay Publications' *Master Anthology of New Classic Guitar Solos, Vol. 1*. He showcased his musical talent in the film *Clubhouse* and arranged a Django gypsy jazz version of Brahms' Hungarian Dance No. 5 for the film *Repossessed*.
