Hristos Passalis

Hristos Passalis, a talented artist hailing from Thessaloniki, Greece, completed his studies at the Drama School of the National Theatre of Northern Greece, graduating in 2000. In 2004, he joined forces with fellow creatives to co-establish Blitztheatregroup, where he has since been instrumental as a writer, director, and actor for the company’s diverse productions.

Passalis made his mark in cinema with a memorable role in Yorgos Lanthimos’ acclaimed film “Dogtooth,” a performance that earned him the prestigious Best Supporting Actor award from the Greek Film Academy. His filmography also includes notable works such as Vardis Marinakis’ “Black Field” (2009) and Syllas Tzoumerkas’ “Homeland” (2009), showcasing his versatility as an actor. He further extended his cinematic repertoire with roles in “The Miracle of the Sargasso Sea” (2018) and Fiona Tan’s “History’s Future” (2015).

With a rich background in theatre and film, Hristos Passalis continues to be a significant figure in the Greek performing arts scene, contributing to the cultural landscape through his innovative storytelling and compelling performances.
