Katharine McPhee
Katharine Hope McPhee Foster, born on March 25, 1984, is an accomplished American pop singer, songwriter, and actress. She rose to prominence as the runner-up on American Idol's fifth season in May 2006.
McPhee released her self-titled debut album through RCA Records on January 30, 2007, which made a significant impact, debuting at number two on the Billboard 200 and selling 381,000 copies as of December 2010. The album's lead single, "Over It," reached the Top 30 on the Pop charts and earned gold certification in 2008. Her second album, Unbroken, came out on January 5, 2010, under Verve Forecast Records and peaked at No. 27 on the Billboard 200, featuring the single "Had It All," which reached number 22 on the AC chart.
On October 12, 2010, she released her third album, the holiday collection Christmas Is the Time to Say I Love You, which debuted at No. 11 on the Billboard Top Holiday Albums chart. Her subsequent albums include Hysteria (released September 18, 2015) and I Fall in Love Too Easily, a compilation of jazz standards released on November 17, 2017.
In addition to her music career, McPhee has also made her mark in acting, appearing in films like The House Bunny and Shark Night 3D, as well as series such as NBC’s Smash and CBS's Scorpion. Notably, she made her Broadway debut in the musical Waitress, portraying the character Jenna during various runs in 2018 and 2019-2020, and also took the role to London's West End in 2019.
