Iva Janžurová

Iva Janžurová, born on May 19, 1941, is a distinguished Czech actress whose talent has made a significant impact on both stage and screen. She pursued her education in České Budějovice before fully embracing her passion for the performing arts. In 1963, she graduated from the Faculty of Theatre at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, marking the beginning of her illustrious career.

In 1964, Janžurová joined the Vinohrady Theatre, where she became a prominent figure, and in 1988, she furthered her artistic journey by becoming a member of The Drama Club in Prague. Her filmography includes notable works such as *Což takhle dát si špenát* (What Would You Say to Some Spinach?) and *Marečku, podejte mi pero!* (Marecek, Pass Me the Pen!), as well as the acclaimed television series *Hospital at the End of the City*, which solidified her status as a household name in Czech entertainment.
