Renan Öztürk, born on April 7, 1980, is a distinguished mountain climber, free soloist, and visual artist originally from Germany but now based in the United States. He gained international acclaim for his remarkable first ascent of the Shark's Fin route on Meru Peak in the Himalayas, a challenging achievement he accomplished alongside renowned climbers Jimmy Chin and Conrad Anker in 2011.
