Mel Collins
Melvyn Desmond Collins, born on September 5, 1947, in the Isle of Man, is a distinguished British saxophonist, flautist, and accomplished session musician. Throughout his career, Collins has made significant contributions to the progressive rock genre, most notably as a member of the iconic band King Crimson. His tenure with the group spanned two separate periods, first from 1970 to 1972 and later from 2013 until 2021.
In addition to his work with King Crimson, Collins has collaborated with a diverse array of artists and bands, showcasing his versatility across various musical styles.
