Véronique Barrault

Véronique Barrault (1958 – May 3, 2022) was a celebrated French actress whose artistic journey began at the prestigious Atelier international de Théâtre Blanche Salant. She gained prominence in the theatrical scene, performing at iconic venues such as Le Splendid and the Café de la Gare, often under the charming alias "Coquillette."

Barrault made her film debut in the comedy "French Fried Vacation 2," directed by Patrice Leconte, where she shared the screen with notable talents like Josiane Balasko, Alain Chabat, and Charlotte Gainsbourg. Throughout her career, she became known for her vibrant performances and ability to connect with audiences. In 2002, she took center stage in the play "Un vrai bonheur," penned by Didier Caron, showcasing her range and depth as an actress.

In her later years, Barrault dedicated herself to the theater and imparted her experience as an acting coach, nurturing the next generation of performers. Tragically, her life was cut short when she was involved in a traffic accident in Gironde on May 3, 2022, at the age of 64.
