Lezlie Deane
Lezlie Deane, born Leslie Denise Lonon on June 1, 1964, in Corsicana, Texas, is a multifaceted American talent known for her contributions to music, film, and sports. She gained prominence in the horror genre with notable performances in films such as 976-EVIL, the cult classic Girlfriend from Hell (1990), and Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare (1991), where she portrayed the character Tracy.
In addition to her acting career, Deane made her mark on television with guest roles in popular series including The Bronx Zoo, 21 Jump Street, Hunter, Freddy's Nightmares, Dynasty, and Pacific Blue. Before her acting pursuits, she was a distinguished member of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, showcasing her diverse talents.
The 1990s saw her venture into music as she formed the dance-pop group Fem2fem, which toured Europe as an opening act for renowned artists like Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson. The group gained notoriety and even featured in PLAYBOY magazine in 1993. Deane collaborated with musicians such as Josh Freese, Danny Lohner, and Robyn Finck on early demos that would later influence her current band.
In 2007, she took on the role of Captain for The Slaughterers, one of the five teams in the Dallas Derby Devils roller derby league. That same year, she established the band Scary Cherry and the Bang Bangs, a "slampop" ensemble that continues to perform across Texas.
