Vijay Deverakonda
Vijay Deverakonda, born as Deverakonda Vijay Sai, is a prominent Indian actor and film producer primarily recognized for his contributions to Telugu cinema. He made his acting debut in 2011 with the romantic comedy Nuvvila, but it was his supporting role in the 2015 film Yevade Subramanyam that brought him into the spotlight. His breakthrough came with the lead role in the 2016 hit Pelli Choopulu, which showcased his talent.
Deverakonda solidified his status as a leading figure in the industry with remarkable performances in films such as Arjun Reddy (2017), Mahanati (2018), Geetha Govindam (2018), Taxiwaala (2018), and Dear Comrade (2019). His portrayal in Arjun Reddy earned him significant acclaim, including the Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Telugu. In 2019, he was honored with the South Indian International Movie Critics Award for Best Actor and received a nomination for the Filmfare Award for his role in Geetha Govindam.
In addition to his acting career, Vijay Deverakonda founded King of the Hill Entertainment, which launched its first project, Meeku Maathrame Cheptha, in 2019. His popularity surged, leading to his inclusion in Forbes India’s 30 Under 30 list that same year, and he was recognized as the most searched South Indian actor in Google's annual report for 2019.
