Linda Wong
Linda Wong, originally named Yeon-ok Kang, was born in Busan, Korea, in 1936. After completing her education at Dongnae High School, she moved to Hawaii in 1956 to pursue a degree in Political Science. While in Hawaii, her stunning looks caught the attention of talent scouts, leading her to win a beauty pageant and subsequently sign a contract with 20th Century-Fox.
By 1963, Wong was making significant strides in her career, with plans to join United Artists and aspirations to establish a drama school in her homeland of Korea. Her transition from academia to the entertainment industry showcased her versatility and ambition, positioning her as a multifaceted talent. Throughout her career, Wong has been recognized for her contributions to film and her dedication to nurturing future generations of artists in Korea.
