Amara Asavananda
Amara Asavananda is a distinguished Thai actress and former beauty queen, best known for her role as the 2nd Runner-up in the Miss Thailand 1953 competition. Born to a Thai father, Luang Prajerd-Aksonlak (Sombhoj Asavananda), and a French mother, Madam Prajerd-Aksonlak (Georgette Asavananda), she embodies a unique blend of French-Thai heritage. Following her success in the national pageant, she represented Thailand at the Miss Universe 1954 pageant in the United States.
Asavananda's acting career flourished in the film and television industry, where she starred in several notable productions throughout the late 1950s and early 1960s. Her filmography includes key works such as "Prissana" (1955), "Lep Krut" (1957), "Rak Rissaya" (1958), "Insee Daeng" (1958), "Hao Dong" (1958), and "Sud Pradthana" (1961), among others.
