Danny Summer, born Wu Zhikun on December 8, 1952, is a distinguished male singer and actor from Hong Kong, often referred to as the "father of Hong Kong rock music." He began his musical journey in 1979 with the release of his debut album, "Childhood," which garnered widespread acclaim and earned him the Best Newcomer Award at the Top Ten Singers ceremony as well as recognition from the Overseas Chinese Daily.

With his distinctive raspy voice, Summer has captivated audiences through a series of hit songs, including "Never Give Up," "Intersection," and "Station," the latter in collaboration with fellow artist Su Rui. His ability to resonate with listeners solidified his reputation in the music industry.

In 1998, Summer embraced a new direction in his career by releasing the album "Zhu," where he covered a variety of songs, which quickly gained popularity among audiophiles. Throughout the subsequent years, he continued to produce music and released additional CDs under the "Zhu" label, maintaining his presence in the industry.

However, in 2015, the sales of his fifth album in the "Zhu" series saw a significant decline, leading to a dip in his reputation. Despite this, Danny Summer remains a significant figure in Hong Kong's music scene, with a legacy that continues to inspire future generations.
