Perrette Pradier, born Perrette Marie Mathilde Chevau on April 17, 1938, in Hanoi, French Indochina, was a distinguished French actress and dubbing director, celebrated for her extensive contributions to voice acting. Her talent earned her the esteemed titles of "Queen" and "High Priestess" of dubbing.

Pradier made her film debut in 1959, and just two years later, she garnered significant acclaim as the most promising new actress in France, receiving the Prix Suzanne Bianchetti for her portrayal of "Amenita" in Sacha Guitry's film, "Stop Thief." That same year, she gained further fame for her role as "Constance Bonacieux" in adaptations of the classic tale, The Three Musketeers. The 1960s saw her transition into Hollywood, where she appeared in the Fred Zinnemann-directed drama "Behold a Pale Horse" alongside Gregory Peck, Anthony Quinn, and Omar Sharif. She also featured in the suspenseful Universal Studios film, "House of Cards," sharing the screen with Orson Welles and George Peppard.

Beyond film, Pradier's career spanned live theatre, where she performed in notable productions, including "La Bonne Addresse" and the record-setting French play "Boeing Boeing." In 1994, she lent her voice to "Sarafina" in the French adaptation of Disney's animated classic, "The Lion King."

Pradier passed away from a heart attack on January 16, 2013, in Rueil-Malmaison, France, shortly after undergoing surgery for an aneurysm, leaving behind a rich legacy in the world of entertainment.
