Sia Kate Isobelle Furler, born on December 18, 1975, in Australia, is a prominent singer-songwriter known for her unique blend of hip hop, funk, and soul in her music. She began her musical journey in the mid-1990s as a vocalist for the Adelaide-based acid jazz band Crisp. After the band disbanded in 1997, she launched her solo career with her debut album, *OnlySee*, released through Flavoured Records in Australia.

Relocating to London, Sia collaborated with the British duo Zero 7, which helped her gain wider recognition. In 2000, she signed with Sony Music's Dance Pool and released her second album, *Healing Is Difficult*, followed by *Colour the Small One* in 2004. Feeling unfulfilled by her commercial success, she moved to New York City in 2005 and began to tour extensively. Her fifth and sixth albums, *Some People Have Real Problems* and *We Are Born*, were released in 2008 and 2010, respectively.

Sia achieved mainstream success with her 2014 album *1000 Forms of Fear*, which debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200, featuring the hit single "Chandelier." She is known for her signature look—wearing wigs that obscure her face to maintain her privacy. Her seventh album, *This Is Acting* (2016), produced her first Billboard Hot 100 number one hit, "Cheap Thrills."

In addition to her solo work, Sia collaborated with Diplo and Labrinth to form the group LSD, releasing their debut album in 2019. She has also ventured into film, directing and writing the 2021 musical *Music*, which starred Maddie Ziegler, Kate Hudson, and Leslie Odom Jr., and was nominated for a Golden Globe.
