After completing his compulsory military service in Israel, Bond made a fresh start in the United States during the early 1980s. He soon found his footing in the world of daytime television, landing a role on the popular soap opera "General Hospital." In 1984, he gained additional attention when he posed bare-chested for a pin-up wall poster.

In 1982, Bond married and welcomed a daughter into the family. His career took another turn in 1989 when he joined the cast of "Santa Barbara" as Mack Blake, a role he held for one year. He showcased his versatility by playing a charming yet villainous vampire in the films "To Die For" and "Son of Darkness: To Die For II" (1991).

Bond's breakout moment on the big screen came in 1988 with his acclaimed performance as Travis Abilene in Andy Sidaris's cult classic "Picasso Trigger." Though born Jewish, Bond later embraced Christianity, referring to himself as a "Christian Jew," reflecting his unique spiritual journey.
