Carlos Sainz Jr.
Carlos Sainz Vázquez de Castro, born on September 1, 1994, in Madrid, Spain, is a prominent Formula One racing driver. He is the son of Carlos Sainz Sr., a celebrated two-time World Rally Champion. Sainz's racing career began in earnest in 2012 when he competed in the British and European Formula 3 championships with Carlin. His talent shone brightly in 2014, when he secured the championship while racing for DAMS in the Formula Renault 3.5 series, paving his way to Formula One with Toro Rosso.
Sainz transitioned to Renault for the 2017 and 2018 seasons, before joining McLaren in 2019, marking the end of his contract with Red Bull Racing. His breakthrough moment came at the 2019 Brazilian Grand Prix, where he clinched his first podium finish, finishing third. In 2021, Sainz made a significant career move to Ferrari, where he continued to impress. He achieved his first pole position at the 2022 British Grand Prix, followed by his inaugural victory in Formula One at the same event.
