2 titles Acting Sep 23, 1977 Paris, France

Seydina Baldé, born on September 23, 1977, in Paris, is a distinguished French actor and martial artist, celebrated for his remarkable achievements in karate, including titles as both a European and World Karate Champion.

From a young age, Baldé harbored aspirations of becoming an actor and began taking theater classes during his teenage years, where he quickly garnered attention for his performances. His journey into martial arts was sparked by the influence of action star Jean-Claude Van Damme, whose films inspired him to start practicing karate at the age of 16. Remarkably, after just four years of dedication, he clinched the title of Junior World Champion. Within the martial arts community, he is affectionately referred to as "la perle noire du karaté," translating to "the black pearl of karate."

Pursuing his acting dreams further, Baldé returned to acting classes in Paris and made his debut in the television adaptation of "Largo Winch." His acting career continued to flourish with a notable role as the guide for blind runner Yannick, played by Cyril Descours, in the 2011 film "La Ligne droite," directed by Wargnier. He later starred in "Covert Operation" and gained recognition in the West African television series "Lex Africana," touted as the first martial arts action thriller from the region. Baldé’s dual talents in the performing arts and martial arts continue to make an impact in both industries.
