Joan Pringle

Joan Pringle, born on June 2, 1945, in New York City, is a celebrated American actress renowned for her portrayal of vice principal Sybil Buchanan on the acclaimed television series The White Shadow. During the show's third and final season, her character was elevated to principal, showcasing her impactful role in the program. Pringle's impressive resume includes appearances in various notable TV series, such as The Waltons and Kojak.

In her personal life, Joan was married to actor Theodore Wilson from January 1980 until his passing in July 1991. The couple shared the screen in the memorable The White Shadow episode "A Christmas Present," and their romance blossomed while they both had recurring roles on the ABC sitcom That's My Mama.
