Shawn Stevens
Shawn Perry Stevens, born on April 5, 1958, in Morristown, New Jersey, is the eldest child of Gary Kieth Stevens, a versatile carpenter and pilot, and Gladys Edna (Chich) Smith, a dedicated homemaker. The Stevens family relocated to Burbank, California, in 1969, where Shawn grew up alongside his siblings, Jodi Beth and Gary Kieth Jr. Raised in the Church of Christ, he embraced Mormonism at the age of 19. In 1984, Shawn married Kaylene McLaws, and they are proud parents to four children: Tauren-Ashlee, Perry Christian, Shawn Kory, and Vince Kayson. In addition to his family, Shawn is the uncle of actor and musician Kelly Blatz, known for roles in "One Square Mile" and "Prom Night."
After a 25-year hiatus from the stage, Shawn seized the chance to audition for the iconic doo-wop group The Diamonds, famous for hits like "Li'l Darlin'" and "The Stroll." This opportunity led to a memorable four-month engagement with the group at the renowned Palm Springs Follies, reigniting his passion for performance. With unwavering support from his family, Shawn is set to return to acting, with a role in T.C. Christensen's upcoming film, "The Cokeville Miracle," slated for summer 2014.
