Vasyl Virastiuk

Vasyl Virastyuk (Ukrainian: Василь Вірастюк), born on April 22, 1974, is a prominent Ukrainian politician and a celebrated former strongman athlete. He is the sibling of fellow strongman Roman Virastyuk. Virastyuk achieved international fame when he clinched the title of World's Strongest Man in 2004, establishing himself as one of the foremost figures in the sport.

Transitioning from the athletic arena to politics, Virastyuk made his mark in the Ukrainian parliamentary landscape. In the parliamentary by-election held on March 28, 2021, he represented the Servant of the People party, a political movement associated with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. His electoral campaign was notable, and on June 15, 2021, he took the oath of office, officially becoming a member of the Ukrainian parliament.
