Charlie Wayne Sexton, born on August 11, 1968, in San Antonio, Texas, showcased remarkable musical talent from an early age. By just 16, he secured a record deal with MCA Records, leading to the release of his debut album, "Pictures For Pleasures," in 1985. This album featured the hit single "Hold Me," which gained significant airtime on MTV, marking Sexton's emergence into the wider music scene beyond Austin.

In 1987, Sexton embarked on a tour with David Bowie during the iconic Glass Spider Tour, further solidifying his place in the music industry. The following year, he contributed to his brother Will's debut album, "Will & The Kill." His sophomore album, simply titled "Charlie Sexton," was released in 1989. Over the years, Sexton has lent his talents to soundtracks for films such as "Beverly Hills Cop II" (1987), "Air America" (1990), and "Thelma & Louise" (1991). He spent two years touring as Bob Dylan's guitarist and, in the early '90s, joined the band Arc Angels, releasing the self-titled album in 1992.

Sexton's versatility extended to acting, with a notable role in the film "F.T.W." (1994). After forming Charlie Sexton & Sextet in 1995 and releasing "Under the Wishing Tree," he shifted focus to producing for other artists. In 2003, he collaborated with Dylan on the film "Masked and Anonymous" and produced Edie Brickell's album "Volcano." Throughout his enduring career, Sexton has remained dedicated to his passion for music, continuing to attract a global fanbase alongside his brother Will.
