Michael Miller
Michael Miller, an accomplished martial artist and stunt performer, began his journey in the world of martial arts through Taekwondo and Hapkido in his homeland of Australia. His passion for action cinema, particularly influenced by both American and Asian films, led him to Hong Kong in the early 1990s to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.
Miller's entry into film came with his notable role in Tsui Hark's "Once Upon A Time In China 2," where he portrayed a doctor who meets a tragic fate via a flaming arrow, alongside contributing stunts as a British soldier. His filmography expanded with titles such as "The Red Wolf," "Robo Kickboxer," and "The Bodyguard From Beijing." He showcased his skills in "And Now You're Dead" with Shannon Lee and the action-packed "Knock Off," where he faced off against Jean-Claude Van Damme in a memorable showdown while performing stunts for his character, the Coughing Man.
As one of the few westerners in the Hong Kong Stuntman's Association, Miller made significant contributions to the field before returning to Australia in the late 1990s. In addition to his stunt work, he exhibited his screenwriting talent with the Australian series "Underbelly: Vanishing Act" in 2022, further solidifying his legacy in the realm of action and storytelling.
