Bao Guo-an

Bao Guo-an, a distinguished national first-class actor and esteemed professor at the Central Academy of Drama, has dedicated his life to the world of acting and theater. His passion for performance ignited at a young age, leading to a significant milestone in 1960 when he made his on-screen debut at just 13 years old. He was selected to portray a young revolutionary martyr, Liu Wenxue (刘文学), in a film produced by a performing arts group in Tianjin, marking the beginning of his illustrious career.

In 1978, Bao’s talents were recognized when he was admitted to the prestigious Central Academy of Drama. His exceptional skills and dedication to the craft earned him an opportunity to remain at the academy as a faculty member following his graduation. Throughout his career, Bao has not only excelled as a performer but has also played a vital role in shaping the next generation of actors through his teaching.
