Imogen Bain

Imogen Bain (April 17, 1959 – July 5, 2014) was a talented English actress known for her contributions to both stage and screen. Born in London to actress Jessie Evans and director Donald Bain, she faced early challenges with dyslexia but persevered to forge a successful career in the performing arts. Bain honed her craft at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, laying the foundation for her future successes.

Her career took off in 1973 when she made her television debut in the BBC's Thirty-Minute Theatre. Bain soon established herself in the theater scene, making a notable West End debut in the production of Daisy Pulls It Off at the Globe Theatre, where her vibrant performances captivated audiences.

In addition to her stage work, Bain appeared in significant film roles, including a part in the iconic Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and in the adaptation of The Phantom of the Opera. Her television repertoire was impressive, with memorable roles in popular series such as Casualty and The Sarah Jane Adventures.

Beyond acting, Bain shared her passion for the arts by teaching at the Actor's Centre in Covent Garden. She also co-founded the Good Luck Company with fellow actress Andrea Brooks, further contributing to the theatrical community.
