Anastacia
Anastacia Lyn Newkirk, born on September 17, 1968, is a renowned American singer-songwriter, producer, and former dancer. She burst onto the music scene with her debut album, *Not That Kind*, in 2000, followed closely by *Freak of Nature* in 2001. Both albums catapulted her to fame, highlighted by the global hit "I'm Outta Love," which earned her the title of 'World's Best-Selling New Female Pop Artist' in 2001. Anastacia continued to dominate the charts with notable tracks such as "Paid My Dues," "One Day In Your Life," and "Boom," the official anthem for the 2002 FIFA World Cup.
After a courageous battle with cancer, she made a triumphant return to the music industry with her self-titled album *Anastacia* in 2004, which marked a shift towards a pop-rock sound. The album achieved remarkable success, reaching number one in eleven countries and becoming the second highest-selling album in Europe for that year. Its lead single, "Left Outside Alone," topped the European Billboard chart for a staggering 15 weeks, contributing to Anastacia's record-setting solo tour across Europe that year. The album also featured additional hits like "Sick and Tired," "Welcome to My Truth," and "Heavy on My Heart," solidifying her status as a pop icon.
