Noémie Schmidt
Noémie Schmidt, born on November 18, 1990, is a talented Swiss actress renowned for her performances in both television and film. She gained significant recognition for her portrayal of Henrietta of England in the historical drama series Versailles, which aired from 2015 to 2017. Her role in the film The Student and Mister Henri (2015) garnered her the Prix Premiers Rendez-vous for Best Newcomer at the 2016 Cabourg Film Festival, as well as a nomination for the César Award for Most Promising Actress in the same year.
Schmidt's filmography also includes notable works such as For This Is My Body (2015) and Radin! (2016), alongside television films like Daddy's Little Girl (2014) and Le premier été (2014).
Born to a lawyer and a biologist, Schmidt developed a passion for acting early in life. Between 2004 and 2008, she honed her vocal abilities by singing in the choir of Schola de Sion in Valais, Switzerland. Following a trip to the U.S., she relocated to Brussels, where she studied drama at the Lassaad International School of Theatre and taught singing to children at the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie.
Schmidt made her film debut in 2012 with the short Coda by Ewa Brykalska, which earned her accolades at various short film festivals. She transitioned to television in 2013 with Toi que j'aimais tant, followed by Le premier été in 2014.
