Karlis Sebris

Kārlis Sebris, a prominent Latvian theater and film actor, was born on February 18, 1914, in Sinole, within the Livonian Government. He passed away on January 12, 2009, in Riga, Latvia. Throughout his life, Sebris not only captivated audiences with his performances but also earned recognition as an officer of the esteemed Three Star Order.

Raised in a modest family, he was the son of Kārlis Sebris Sr. His early education took place at the Lizums school and later at the public school in Cesvaine. With a passion for the performing arts, he enrolled in Latvia's inaugural drama school, established in 1909 by Jekabs Duburs and Ernests Zeltmatis. He graduated in 1938, marking the beginning of a remarkable acting career.

Sebris joined the National Drama Theater, where he dedicated his talents for the entirety of his professional journey. His commitment to the theater and his contributions to Latvian culture were greatly appreciated, and he became a beloved figure in the performing arts community.
