Megan Rapinoe
Megan Anna Rapinoe, born on July 5, 1985, is a renowned American soccer player who operates as a winger. She serves as the captain of OL Reign in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) and the United States women's national team. In 2019, she achieved notable recognition by winning the Ballon d'Or Féminin and being named The Best FIFA Women's Player. Rapinoe has been an integral part of the national team, securing gold medals at the 2012 London Olympics, as well as triumphing at the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2015 and 2019. Additionally, she was part of the squad that finished as runners-up in the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup. From 2018 to 2020, she co-captained the national team alongside fellow players Carli Lloyd and Alex Morgan. Earlier in her career, Rapinoe played for teams such as the Chicago Red Stars, Philadelphia Independence, and MagicJack in Women's Professional Soccer (WPS), and she also had a stint with Olympique Lyon in France's Division 1 Féminine.
