Andrea Sooch
Andrea Sooch, originally named Andrea Szucs, was born in Budapest, Hungary, into a family steeped in the arts and sciences, with her father as a mathematics and physics professor and her mother as a pianist. Displaying exceptional talent from an early age, Andrea began her musical journey at just six years old, showcasing her skills as a child prodigy violinist and a member of the Hungarian Radio and Television Children’s Choir.
In 1989, as the Iron Curtain fell, she relocated to Vienna, where she flourished in the realm of musical theater, establishing herself as a versatile performer. Her talent did not go unnoticed, and in late 1993, she received a prestigious full scholarship to the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, which she accepted with enthusiasm, moving to the United States in 1994.
Fluent in Hungarian and German, with the ability to read and write in Russian, Andrea has navigated diverse cultural landscapes throughout her life. Beyond her artistic pursuits, she is also trained in psychodrama, drama therapy, and group therapy, and she has built a successful career as a licensed clinician and published author under the name Andrea Szucs. With a rich background in both the performing arts and mental health, Andrea Sooch continues to inspire through her multifaceted contributions.
