Morten Grunwald
Morten Grunwald, born on December 9, 1934, in Odense, Denmark, has earned a prominent place in Danish cinema and theatre, becoming a household name through his memorable performances. He is particularly celebrated for his role as Benny in the iconic "Olsen Banden" series, a beloved collection of films that showcased his talent alongside renowned actors Ove Sprogøe and Poul Bundgaard.
Grunwald began his journey in the performing arts after attending Odense Theatrical School in 1958, which laid the groundwork for his career. He further honed his skills at The Royal Theater of Denmark's Theatrical School, graduating in 1962. His contributions to theatre extended beyond acting, as he took on significant leadership roles in various Copenhagen theaters. From 1971 to 1980, he served as the director of Bristol Teatret, followed by a successful tenure at Betty Nansen Teatret from 1980 to 1992, and later at Østre Gasværk from 1992 to 1998.
