Ezzat Al Alaily
Ezzat Hassan Al A’laly was born in the Bab al-Sha’riyah neighborhood of Cairo. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the Higher Institute of Theater Studies in 1960, marking the beginning of a distinguished career in the arts. Ezzat is a family man, married with two children: his son Mahmoud, a practicing dentist, and his daughter Ragaa, who holds a law degree and is married.
Initially, Ezzat's foray into the world of art was driven by necessity, as he took on the responsibility of supporting his four sisters after the death of his father. He gradually made a name for himself in television, appearing in notable series such as "Abd Allah al-Nadeem." His stage presence is equally impressive, with standout performances in productions like "Dimaa a’la Malabis al-Sahra" ("Blood on the Evening Gown") and "Ahlan ya Bakwat."
In addition to acting, Ezzat is also an accomplished playwright, having penned works such as "Thawrat al-Madina" ("The City’s Revolt") and "Al-Touffan" ("The Flood"). His contributions to both Egyptian and regional cinema, including appearances in Algerian and Lebanese films, have earned him critical acclaim and numerous awards.
Renowned for his ability to bring diverse characters to life, Ezzat has left an indelible mark on the industry, with memorable roles in productions like "Al-Ard" ("The Earth"), "Al-Ikhtiyar" ("The Choice"), "Al-Muwattin al-Masry" ("The Egyptian Citizen"), and "El-Sekka Matt" ("El-Sekka is Dead"). His unique talent and dedication continue to resonate in the world of theater and film.
